Statement

I am an artist and researcher with a keen interest in materiality, memory and place who uses walking, drawing and printmaking practice to document and respond to the urban environment of North-East England. Following the completion of my MA in Design in 2020, I am developing research which examines the impact of ongoing poverty and inequality on the North of England by producing work which observes and responds to the symbolism inherent in the post-industrial architecture of my surroundings.
